“The Bijou” is located in the heart of downtown Colorado
Springs fronting historic Acacia Park, the crown jewel of
our city’s original park system. This project is the 5th
collaboration between Dan Robertson of S&R
Construction
and Janelle Walston,the Loft Lady.
Their efforts to provide downtown residential spaces have
produced more than 30 loft residences to date in the
downtown core.
“The Bijou”
will consist of 14 residential condos and up
to 3 street-level retail spaces as well as an enclosed parking
garage. Units range from 1 bedroom/2 bath units to
3 bedroom/3 bath units.

Green building practices are an important feature of this project and will include recycling of
building materials, low VOC paints and finishes, Energy Star appliances, low water usage
plumbing fixtures and low energy lighting fixtures. Perhaps its’ most important “green”
feature is the reduction in dependence on a vehicle: everything is within walking distance.
Museums, banks, library, shopping, gyms, theaters, concerts, post office and the Monument
Valley trail are all within an easy walk of The Bijou.
